driving positions
To get started as a trent barton driver you will need a positive attitude, a natural ability to treat customers as you would wish to be treated yourself, and a clean car driving licence. We will take it from there, training you to the highest standards as a professional driver.
What's more, although this is an 18 hours a day, 7 days a week business, we will do our utmost to find a shift pattern to suit you. For example, you might prefer to work three or four longer days rather than five or six shorter ones, or perhaps you only fancy part time work. Give us a try, we'll see if we've got something to suit.
Did you know that over three hundred trent barton drivers have worked hard to gain the NVQ for the Bus Industry, this professional qualification is available to all members of the trent barton driving team. The NVQ is based on best practice and in addition to a host of core tasks it also focuses on vital skills needed to be able to offer a professional service such as communication, working with others and customer service.
Even before you pass your test we pay you a special training rate, and once you start at a depot you'll be earning around £8 per hour. Overtime is usually available. A smart uniform is provided free, plus free cleaning tokens. You'll also get a bus pass, which gives you unlimited free travel on Trent and Barton buses and discounts for your spouse and young children.
