How do I get a MANGO?
Go to the online MANGO sign up page (www.trentbarton.co.uk/mango)
, and open an account by registering your details. You can then order
your MANGO and choose how much money you want to load onto it. You'll
receive your card in the post within 5 working days - you can use it
straight away.
How does MANGO work?
MANGO acts as an 'electronic purse' - you charge it up online and then
a reader on the bus deducts the right fare for your journey every time
you travel. By using the latest satellite technology the smartcard will
always log your journey and work out the best value fare.
What discounts do I get?
MANGO customers receive a discount of 25% on the single fare (roughly
the same as our 13-trip FRIO ticket) every time they travel.
What is the most I will pay for a day's travel?
There is a daily maximum charge of £4.60 after 9am. Once you have reached
this amount no more credit will be deducted from your MANGO no matter
how much more you travel. If you start your travel for the day before
9am, the maximum charge for the day will be £8.00.
Where do I touch on and off when travelling?
When you get onto the bus simply place your MANGO on the drivers' ticket
machine to touch on. When you get off, touch your MANGO on the exit reader
near the doors and the price of your journey, together with the remaining
balance on your card will be displayed.
What happens if I forget to touch off?
You will be charged to the final destination of the journey
that the bus is making. For instance - if you get on the bus at Sandiacre
and touch on, then get off at QMC but forget to touch off, you will be
charged all the way to Nottingham which is the end of the journey. So
always remember to touch off and check the screen as you alight to make
sure that it has registered.
How do I know how much credit is left on my MANGO?
You can view your remaining credit when you touch off at
the exit reader on the bus.
How can I see what I've spent on my MANGO?
You can view your journey history by logging into your online account
at any time.
What is auto-top up?
Auto-top up is coming soon to MANGO. This will let you decide how much
money you want to automatically load onto your card when your balance
reaches a set amount. You control the balance and top-up levels.
What if I run out of credit on my MANGO?
If you have low or no credit left on your card you will be able to take
one more journey which will take your account into a negative balance.
You should then top-up your card as soon as possible so that you can continue
to use MANGO as usual - please allow up to 24 hours for any credit to
reach your card.
What should I do if I lose or damage my MANGO?
If your card is lost or stolen, you must advise our Customer Services
Team immediately on 01773 712265. Your card will be 'stopped' at midnight
on the day that the loss is reported, and a new card issued to you.
Any remaining balance (less a £3 administration fee and all travel up
to the time that the card was stopped) will be transferred to the new
card.
If you damage your MANGO card please return it to our Customer Service Team for a replacement card. Any existing balance on the damaged card will be transferred to the new card minus a £3 administration fee.
Can anybody else use my MANGO?
Yes, family and friends can share the card too, so when you're not using
it, they can.
How much money can I put on my MANGO?
The minimum top-up amount in any transaction is £10, and the maximum
balance allowed on a card at anytime is £250.
How long does it take for credit to load onto my MANGO?
It will take up to twenty-four hours for any 'top-up' charge to reach
your card so it is best to top up in good time.
Why are today's journeys not in my journey history?
It can take up to 24 hours for journeys to be included in your journey history.
