A popular ticket offering unlimited off-peak travel on trent barton buses looks set to become a hit with couples, families and small groups of friends wanting to travel together.

Launched last weekend (May 30), the new zigzag group ticket offers up to five people of any age unlimited travel after 9.00am for just £9, and has been launched in response customer feedback.

Explained Alex Hornby, Commercial Director at trent barton: "The zigzag ticket has always been popular but we are constantly striving to improve our services by listening to the needs of our customers.

"As a result of extensive market research we discovered demand for a group travel ticket. A couple travelling together will make a modest saving but, in effect, if two people buy a group zigzag ticket between them, three of their family or friends can travel with them for free."

He added: "We are sure the new ticket will prove popular with families looking to enjoy a day out exploring Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and also with groups of friends who want to travel together for a night out by bus."
