road closure at Moor Road - affecting 141
From Monday 26th July until Monday 16th August, Moor Road will be closed between School Walk and Park Road for essential road works. This means that 141 will not be able to serve some stops in the area.
During the work 141 buses will be diverted between Tesco and Bestwood via Nottingham Road.
A shuttle bus run by yourbus will serve Tesco and The Spinney, connecting with 141 at Tesco.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, the situation is clearly beyond our control.
Bus route in Derby city centre - tell us what you think
We've been getting lots of feedback from our customers who would like to have an extra stop coming out of Derby near the Cathedral Quarter.
There are two options, tell us what you think. We could have an extra stop put in at the Assembly Rooms after the bus station, this may mean a slightly slower journey out of Derby.
Or
We could continue with the same route and journey times as now, and continue to pick up at the bus station only.
You can email your comments to thesixes@trentbarton.co.uk

On the following Sundays - 25th July, 1st and 8th August between 8am and 6pm Derby Road at Stapleford will be closed so that essential road maintenance can be carried out.
The rainbow 4 buses going towards Derby will be diverted between Lidl and Bostocks Lane via Town Street and Stanton Road. Buses to Nottingham will run as normal.
We apologise for the upheaval, our drivers will do all they can to minimise any disruption.
The A6 at Duffield is closed to all traffic whilst roadworks are taking place, this means that the sixes buses will run via Broadway and Wirksworth Road. Alternative stops are available in Duffield village and a temporary stop is in place at the junction of Broadway and the A6 - our drivers will look out for customers intending to catch the bus from these stops.
We appreciate the work done by Derbyshire County Council which has minimised delays to the sixes, particularly by them diverting ordinary traffic away from the A6, we look forward to returning to the normal route from 28th August.

we want your views please
We have been experiencing some severe timekeeping issues on the mickleover recently for which we are really sorry. This has been caused by several sets of road works on the route and, potentially, also the extension of the route to serve the new bus station. We have been doing all we can to reduce any delays by putting extra buses and drivers out to try and maintain the timetable, but we need a solution so that we can deliver a reliable service for our customers.
We have two options...
We continue to serve the bus station as now and review the timetable once all the road works are complete. The bus station is a smart facility and is great to change on to other buses, but this may continue to have an effect on our timekeeping.
We run the mickleover to and from the stop on Albert Street (where we used to start and finish before the bus station opened), this means that the buses will not serve the bus station, but will help buy us some time and help us improve departures from the city centre.
Please tell us what you think of these options. You can email your comments to mickleover@trentbarton.co.uk. Thanks for your time.

We have been looking at service 241 to see how we can make it even better for our customers. We have come up with a proposal but first of all we'd like to hear your views on this plan.
The new timetable will offer;
However so that we can offer this new link to Chesterfield other changes to the timetable will be necessary;
We are also thinking of giving 241 a new name and exterior colour scheme and we'd really like to hear any ideas from our customers.
Advanced timetable is now available on our website at www.trentbarton.co.uk/241 and you can email your comments to 241@trentbarton.co.uk
We have been experiencing some reliability problems on the harlequin for some time, mainly caused by the severe roadworks on Burton Road in Derby city centre. Throughout these roadworks we put an extra bus in the cycle to help maintain the timetable - this was at a substantial cost. Unfortunately the harlequin cannot carry these costs indefinitely which means we have to review the timetable so we can deliver a reliable service for our customers.
So, from Monday 6th September we are introducing a new timetable on the harlequin with a bus running every 20 minutes. There will be no changes to the route or the weekend evening and night buses.
What's more from the same date we'll be introducing a special bargain £1 fare deal for customers travelling from Heatherton to Derby - available on MANGO. Register online at www.trentbarton.co.uk/mango

We are sorry!
There are currently two sets of roadworks on the mickleover at Chain Lane and Ladybank Road seriously affecting our timekeeping.
Our team are doing all they can to keep buses running as closely to the timetable as possible, but it's inevitable that the roadworks are going to cause delays especially during the afternoon rush hour.
We have looked at an alternative route into the city via Mickleover by-pass, but we feel this will not improve the situation and will miss out important stops along Uttoxeter Road.
An extra bus and driver is now placed on standby to help deliver the timetable as best we can. Our team are out in the bus station and on the buses to help manage the situation.
We're really sorry for any inconvenience that you may be experiencing on the mickleover. Please bear with us whilst we all try our best to deal with the roadworks which are clearly beyond our control.
