Come along to watch the entire Last Night of the BBC Proms screened live in an outdoor venue in the city along with live music sessions on stage. The Big Screen outside the Assembly Rooms will relay the event direct from London’s Albert Hall on the evening of Saturday 11th September. The Proms screening from 7.30pm forms part of a programme of live musical entertainment in the Market Place starting at 4.00pm where performances on stage before the Proms and during its interval will set out to entertain and involve the expected crowds of ‘prommers’.find out more ...

Already recognised as one of the most spectacular weekend festivals of its kind, this year's Derby Festé is set to bring some of the very best outdoor performances to the streets of Derby. A host of top celebrity chefs are preparing to cook up a storm as part of the second annual Nottingham Food and Drink Festival. The full line-up for the event, which takes place 23rd to 26th September and includes a Celebrity Chef Theatre in Old Market Square, has been officially unveiled and includes well known names from Italy, India and the Caribbean. The festival will be opened by Gino D’Acampo, the Italian chef and winner of the ITV 2009 series I’m A Celebrity...Get Me out of Here!, whilst the hugely popular TV personality and Ready Steady Cook presenter Ainsley Harriott will bring proceedings to a close on the Sunday. find out more ...
