We’ve got a series of road improvements taking place on and around Nuthall Road / Melbourne Road / Hilcot Drive, so here’s everything you need to know if you’re travelling with rainbow one:

Phase 1 – traffic lights & lane restrictions

Friday 29 May (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Monday 1 June – Wednesday 3 June (9:30am – 3:30pm)

🚦 3‑way temporary lights at Melbourne Road / Hilcot Drive
🚧 Lane closures in both directions

🚌 rainbow one remains on normal route, but please allow up to 5 minutes extra due to traffic delays.

🗓 Phase 2 – partial closures

Thursday 4 June – Friday 5 June (9:30am – 3:30pm)

🚧 Melbourne Road closed northbound at Hilcot Drive
🚧 Hilcot Drive closed at the junction

🚌 rainbow one may experience delays due to diversions and heavier traffic in the area.

🗓 Phase 3 – weekend full closures

Saturday 6 June – Sunday 7 June (8:00am – 5:00pm)

🚧 Melbourne Road closed in both directions
🚧 Hilcot Drive also closed at the junction

🚌 No direct route changes for rainbow one, but traffic delays are expected.

We’ll keep things moving as smoothly as possible throughout — but with works of this scale, a little extra journey time will help keep things stress‑free.
