trent barton does an awards treble, 3 big wins at the UK Bus Awards

We've returned from the huge UK Bus Awards event at the London Park Lane Hilton on Tuesday 16 November with three big awards in our midst!

'Rambo' Mohammed, our 22 year old superstar and current trent barton driver of the year, walked away with the UK Bus Driver of the Year prize. It's the second year running for both trent barton and our Nottingham depot for this celebrated award. Rambo is a credit to our company, and is a real hit with all his customers on the ruddington connection.

Meanwhile, the nines team, represented by Team Leader Jayne and top performing drivers Trina and Steve at the awards, clinched the 'Winning New Customers' prize as presented by Transport Minister Norman Baker MP. This recognised their efforts in building an attractive service which continues to grow and grow, getting people out of their cars and onto our buses.

Keith Shayshutt, our Head of Development, with 39 years in the industry, was the first winner of the new 'Unsung Hero' award. Keith has been a key, yet often underplayed, figure behind many of trent barton's successes and has a youthful and infectious enthusiasm for our business and its customers.

Jeff Counsell, Managing Director said "I am very proud of these superb achievements, I would like to pass on my personal congratulations to our award winners - well done to them all!
