A really good deal has arrived in trentbarton land.
Here comes zigzag choo choo... enjoy a day out with trentbarton and on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway with just one ticket from any trentbarton driver.
Ecclesbourne Valley Railway
The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is a scenic volunteer-operated railway running between Duffield and Wirksworth on the edge of the Peak District, using a range of preserved locomotives and vintage diesel railcars. These type of trains allow you to enjoy the full view ahead through the driver's window, meaning you can take in the 9 miles of beautiful scenery along the river and through the rolling countryside.
Do check times before travelling as the level of service can vary by day or by season. All the details can be found at e-v-r.com/timetable.
Getting to the Railway by bus
Our buses on the sixes serve stations at either end of the railway, with Duffield and Wirksworth stations less than 5 mins walk away from the closest bus stops.
You can catch the sixes every 15 mins from Derby or Belper to the station at Duffield.
Or if you want to get on the train at Wirksworth, the sixes 6.1 runs every hour past the station. This runs every hour from Derby, Belper and Bakewell, and every 30 mins o Matlock and Matlock Bath.
Of course you can travel by train in one direction, and come back by bus with a zigzag choo choo ticket - the sixes 6.1 runs from Duffield to Wirksworth too.
You'll save a great deal by getting a zigzag choo choo ticket compared to buying your bus and train travel separately. Buy your ticket from any trentbarton driver and get unlimited travel after 9am Mon-Fri or all day at weekends and bank holidays.
