zigzag group is just the ticket for family and friends in Buxton

A popular bus ticket offering unlimited off-peak travel for couples, families and small groups of friends is to be extended to cover our services in Buxton.

The new zigzag group ticket has proved a huge success since it was first launched on selected routes in June, and now it can be used on the skyline 199 service that connects the town with Manchester Airport and the185 and 186 services that serve Fairfield and Burlow.

Alex Hornby, Commercial Director, explained that for just £9 the ticket enables unlimited travel after 9.00am for up to five people of any age.

"This represents excellent value for money as a couple travelling together will make a modest saving whilst if two people buy a group zigzag ticket between them, three of their family or friends can travel with them for free," he said.

"The original zigzag ticket, which can be bought direct from our drivers and enables unlimited travel for one person, has always been popular but we are always looking at ways to improve our services by listening to the needs of our customers.

"As a result of extensive market research we discovered demand for a group ticket and now people in Buxton and surrounding areas can use the zigzag to travel together for a day or night out without the worry of driving," he added.
