we can only succeed if we provide really good service to all our customers, achieving that is in the hands of our team – both on the front line and behind the scenes – which is why we place our people at the heart of everything we do.
really good drivers
Our drivers are famous for being the best in the business, and have won the Top National Bus Driver title four times in the past few years. Our customers tell us that our drivers are the number one reason why they choose to travel with us.
We don't take that for granted, which is why we reward our staff. Our best driver gets a £1000 prize and an extra days’ holiday every year at our annual really good service awards.
We also encourage our drivers with additional training and qualifications. We know if we look after them, they look after our customers. It’s as simple as that. If you are really good with people, and will get a kick out of making our customers happy, we can often teach you the rest.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to have you on board. We will provide you with the training to drive a bus if needed, as well as a smart uniform, free travel for you and a nominated partner and many more benefits, not to mention a job in one of the most secure industries around.
a really good team
Whilst drivers make up the bulk of our workforce, we’d be lost without many of the people who keep the wheels turning who aren’t so visible to our customers. These include fitters, body builders, administration support and other roles. Opportunities in these areas can be rare – but we’ll advertise them as soon as we have any openings available.

trentbarton has one of the youngest, modern fleet of buses on the road. In order to maintain our high standards, and delight our customers, it takes a dedicated and talented team of engineers working around the clock.
admin & support staff
trentbarton employs 1,000 people from the local communities. Whilst the bulk of that is drivers and engineers, it also takes really good people doing a variety of different roles to keep our customers happy.
Behind the scenes, it takes a small team of managers to lead our operations. We have a really good track record of promoting people from within our own teams, and a majority of our managers started on the road and have progressed through the ranks.
We occasionally allow external applicants; however these opportunities are rare.
