School kids get lucky with more 100 trentbarton treats

Youngsters from a Nottinghamshire primary school have enjoyed a special day out with the help of trentbarton.

As part of our 100th birthday celebrations, we provided Wadsworth Fields Primary School with a free coach for a trip to Nottingham Castle.

The school in Stapleford is located on our popular i4 route that runs between Derby and Nottingham, and when teachers enquired about using it to get to the castle, we offered to lay on a special club class coach.

John Shaw, i4 and club class Team Leader, explained: “To mark our anniversary we’re giving away 100 gifts or treats to local charities and community organisations.

“When the school asked us about using i4 for a school trip for Year 2/3 pupils, we thought that laying on a special coach for them was another great way we could involve the community in our birthday celebrations.”

Class teacher Julie Hodgkinson commented: "What a fantastic day we had and trentbarton were brilliant. What started out as a simple travel inquiry turned into a wonderful experience for the youngsters and the company’s generosity meant our children travelled to Nottingham Castle and back in style, and for free!”
