The town will be buzzing with the annual Well Dressing celebrations and the ever-popular Carnival Weekend.
π§ Saturday 24 May – Wheelbarrow Race
The legendary Wheelbarrow Race rolls through town from 7:25pm to 8:00pm.
To help everyone enjoy the race safely, our 7:05pm service from Derby to Bakewell will arrive in Wirksworth at 7:48pm. Please hang tight until the roads reopen before continuing your journey.
π Sunday 25 May – Rolling Road Closures
From 12:00pm to 2:10pm, there’ll be rolling road closures in place. If the road is closed the sixes 6.1 will head up Lime Kiln, then follow the route towards Cromford and the A6.
