indigo buses to run right through the night

Communities between Nottingham and Derby will soon be able to jump on a bus at almost any time, day or night, with the introduction of a new 24/7 timetable.

Our colourful indigo buses have become a familiar sight on routes between the two cities and from later this month many will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Alex Hornby, Commercial Director, commented: "indigo has proved a huge success with customers; in fact it's one of our most popular services.

"It's no surprise that it is to become one of our first services to run 24/7 to provide a vital link for people who work shifts or just want to enjoy a late night out - as well as holidaymakers who need to get to the airport at an unusual hour."

Other improvements to indigo services include new night buses to and from Derby, which will run until 3.00 am at weekends. There will also be more buses on Sundays, running to Chilwell and Beeston every 6 to 7 minutes, and to Derby every 30 minutes.

Alex added: "To mark the timetable improvements we'll be holding a special launch-day celebration in Nottingham city centre on Saturday, July 23, with plenty of free giveaways and a guest appearance from our own Mr MANGO mascot."
