29 March timetable changes

On Sunday 29 March several timetable changes will take place:

i4 -  You'll have noticed recently that we tested a double-decker bus on the route as we continue to look at ways to improve your service and ease overcrowding.

We really appreciate all the feedback you gave us during this consultation and some of your suggestions have been taken on board. Firstly, from Monday 30 March we'll now be running an extra evening bus leaving Nottingham at 7.15pm and Sandiacre at 7.43pm on Mondays to Saturdays - at the moment these journeys only run on Friday evenings. Also, the evening journeys from Nottingham will now go to Bostocks Lane instead of va Stanton Road and Rushy Lane.

The new timetable can be viewed here.

Later this year we're aiming to bring you more improvements to peak time buses. More details to follow...

zoom - We’re making a couple of changes to the zoom timetable to improve timekeeping. The 3.45pm Derby to Old Sawley journey will finish at the Town Hall in Long Eaton at 4.10pm. The 4.48pm Sawley to Derby journey will be replaced by a 4.32pm journey from Long Eaton Green to Derby. This is to help with reliability during peak times.

The new timetable can be viewed here.

swift - Journeys to Alton Towers on swift will no longer run as of 29 March. Unfortunately, these buses carried so few customers that they are simply no longer commercially viable.

Notts&Derby will be running a new service to Alton Towers, details will be posted on their website soon. From the same date there will be a revised Sunday timetable running every 2 hours between Mayfield, Ashbourne and Derby.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. The new timetable can be viewed here.

the mickleover - nightbuses on Friday and Saturday nights on the mickleover will not run as of 29 March.

Unfortunately, these buses carried so few customers that they are simply no longer commercially viable.

From 29 March, the last bus leaving from Derby will be at 11.30pm.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. The new timetable can be viewed here.

the nines - We’re making some changes to the nines timetable to improve timekeeping.

Journeys from Derby to Mansfield will run via Alma Street in Alfreton and not the High Street between 8.15am - 5.00pm, Monday - Saturday.

The 6.05pm 9.1 journey from Mansfield will be extended to Ripley, and the 6.15pm 9.3 journey will leave Mansfield at 6.30pm, arriving in Ripley at 7.25pm.

From the same date we will also be making a few tweaks to the timetable to cater for school children.

The new timetable can be viewed here.

the sixes - We’re making a few tweaks to our morning journeys on the sixes before 9.00am, Mondays to Saturdays. 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 will run via St Alkmund’s Way to Derby bus station, this will help with timekeeping.

Also from the same date the 11.35pm Friday and Saturday sixes journey will start from inside Belper Bus Station.
