From Monday 16 March to Saturday 4 April, Chapel Street (A6) in Belper will be closed each night between 7pm and 6am while Derbyshire County Council carry out major carriageway resurfacing works.
Due to the closure, we won’t have access to Belper Bus Station, so all journeys on the sixes will use King Street for every departure during these overnight works.
🚌 Route changes for 6.1 the sixes
The 6.1 will need to divert via:
➡️ Chesterfield Road
➡️ Crich Lane
➡️ Broadholme Lane
➡️ A6
…to and from Belper Triangle, where it will rejoin the normal route.
🚫 Stops we can’t serve during the overnight closure
- Belper Bus Garage (buses will use King Street instead)
- The Lion Hotel
We know this is a significant closure on one of our busiest corridors, and our driving team will be working hard every night to keep journeys moving as smoothly as possible.
