From Monday 23 February until Friday 17 April, the Heanor Church stop on Church Street will be closed while Derbyshire County Council carry out major improvement works.
These upgrades include:
-
new bus boarder kerbs,
-
brand‑new shelters with RTI screens,
-
improvements to the footway, layby and carriageway.
Once complete, this stop will be a much better space for customers — but during the works, buses will not be able to serve it.
🚧 Wilmot Street one‑way system (2 Mar – 17 Apr)
From Monday 2 March until Friday 17 April, Wilmot Street (towards Langley Mill) will be under a temporary one‑way system due to essential works by Derbyshire County Council.
This means some services will need to divert.
🚌 33 & 34 – changes to stops
Towards Hucknall & Mansfield
- Buses will not use Wilmot Street.
- Instead, they will now use the stop outside the college on Ilkeston Road.
Towards Ilkeston
- Buses will not use Wilmot Street.
- They will instead use the stop opposite the college on Ilkeston Road, just after the Heanor Antique Centre.
🚌 rainbow one
rainbow one will continue to use Wilmot Street as normal until further notice.
We know this is a lot of change in a small area, and our drivers will be doing everything they can to keep your journey running smoothly.
Thanks for bearing with us while these essential improvement works take place.
