Derby Road Returns to One Way Running Between QMC and Priory from 20th January

Following the temporary two‑way reopening of Derby Road over Christmas, National Highways will be reinstating one‑way traffic between QMC and Priory roundabouts from Tuesday 20 January until late spring as part of ongoing major carriageway reconstruction works. 🛠️🚗

This means some changes and likely delays for several of our services.

🚌 i4 – towards Stapleford, Sandiacre & Derby

From 20 January, the i4 will once again divert on journeys away from Nottingham City Centre towards Stapleford, Sandiacre and Derby.
You may notice extra traffic in the area as drivers adjust to the restrictions. ⏱️🚦

⏳ Possible delays on other services

Traffic changes may also cause delays on:

  • indigo 💙
  • skylink Nottingham ✈️
  • red arrow ❤️

Thanks in advance for your patience while everyone settles back into the one‑way layout.

✔️ Normal route will operate
❌ Stops at Wollaton Park Gates and Lenton Hall on Derby Road will remain closed to help keep traffic moving.
✔️ Instead, buses will serve:

  • Charles Avenue
  • University North Entrance
📍 Both just a short walk away.

i4 towards Stapleford, Sandiacre & Derby 🌳

From QMC, buses will:
➡️ Turn left onto Clifton Boulevard
➡️ Continue to Dunkirk roundabout
➡️ Turn right onto Beeston Road
➡️ Continue along University Boulevard
➡️ Continue along Woodside Road
➡️ Rejoin normal route at Priory roundabout towards Wollaton Vale

🗺️ The route may look a little different, but we’ve kept it as smooth as possible.

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience while these major roadworks continue.

Thank you for sticking with us, giving yourself a bit of extra travel time, and helping keep the buses moving.
