From Monday 5th January until Thursday 7th May 2026 Derby Street / Borough Road in Burton upon Trent will be closed for cycleway imrovement works being carried out by Staffordshire County Council.
Contractors will be carrying out works on Borough Road and around the Train Station, which will require a road closure for just over four weeks.
During this time, our xprss38 and the villager will need to take alternative routes:
🚌 xprss38 diversion
After serving Derby Turn, the xprss38 will divert via:
➡️ Horninglow Street
➡️ Guild Street
Rejoining the normal route at Union Street (Sainsbury’s).
🚌 villager V1 diversion
After serving Milton Street, the V1 will divert via:
➡️ Mosley Street
➡️ Moor Street
➡️ Shobnall Road
➡️ Wellington Street
Rejoining the normal route at 6th Form College.

- Train Station (both services)
