A full weekend road closure will be in place on Wilford Lane, Wilford, from 10pm on Friday 23 January until 6am on Monday 26 January.
The closure will apply in both directions between Ashdown Close and The Beckett Way while tram track repairs take place. These works are essential to replace the track ballast (the stones beneath the tracks), which was damaged during the severe flooding in January 2024.
What this means for skylink express
During the closure, skylink express will divert and won’t be able to use Wilford Lane as normal. Buses will instead divert via Queens Drive to keep services running throughout the weekend.
