trent barton's tasty tipple at Nottingham beer festival

We’ve teamed up with a local brewery to serve up a tasty tipple for visitors to the Nottingham Robin Hood Beer Festival.

At the event, which runs for three days from Thursday, October 11, Magpie Brewery will be offering its popular new zigger zagger beer that pays tribute to the our zigzag ticket range.

Our staff will also be at Nottingham Castle during the festival handing out plenty of free gifts and MANGO goodies.

What's more, members of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) can take advantage of a zigzag play ticket, which offers unlimited travel on the trent barton network after 9am for just £4.50. Alternatively, zigzag group play offers up to five people the same benefits for £10.

“All members have to do to take advantage of the offer is show their membership card when boarding the bus,” marketing manager, Sarah Taylor explained.

“I’m sure real ale connoisseurs will appreciate both the golden, summery taste of the zigger zagger Ale and the value offered by our zigzag ticket.

“Travelling by bus also allows visitors to the event to enjoy a good pint without the worry of driving home.”

Katrina Mitchinson of Magpie Brewery added: “We are always keen to promote drinking sensibly, so teaming up with trent barton makes perfect sense, no need for a designated driver if you zigzag play! The ticket is also a great way to pub crawl around some of Nottingham's great real ale pubs. Our zigger zagger beer is a delicious summer ale, light and refreshing, look out for it at the Robin Hood beer festival.”
