Christmas Checklist

With Christmas fast approaching we thought it might be handy to put together a checklist for you to tick off.

Pencil it in

Set dates with your friends and family, Christmas comes with all the fun activities so make sure you don't double book!  A Christmas party may well be on the cards so plan ahead and check your local bus routes and times so you can party the night away.

Start your Christmas shopping

Set yourself a budget, make yourself a list, catch the bus and hit the shops. Remember Black Friday falls on Friday 24 November if you want to grab yourself a bargain! Avoid the busy car parks and let us drop you in to town for just £2 for a single ticket!

Try and keep a few spare items at home which will make good last minute gifts for people you may have forgotten.

Deck the halls

Everyone's favourite part of the festive period. If you need to get yourself a real tree the time is now! Give your tree time for the branches to drop before adding your baubles. This is such a magical part of Christmas and it's always more fun when you can get the whole family involved.

#spotsanta

If you are lucky enough to see a Santa driving a trentbarton bus between 11-22 December, tell us on facebook or on twitter by posting a picture & using #spotsanta. Tell us what route and where (location or road name) you saw him or her. Of course, you're in with a chance to win one of our extra special Christmas presents, including exclusive gifts and vouchers from across trentbarton land.

Write your Christmas Cards

The earlier you start this, the better! Put on the Christmas tunes and write away. Don't forget to post them in good time to avoid delays in December!

Santa / Father Christmas, Santa's Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ

Why not make it a festive trip and catch the bus to post your list. Don't forget our young explorers aged 10 and under will be able to travel on any bus, anywhere at anytime for just £1.

Take a trip to watch your local light switch on

With many of our buses travelling across the midlands this is a perfect opportunity to take in the magical lights and enjoy the build up to the big day.  Check out our Christmas Guide for more information.

It's time to wrap those presents

The perfect time to put on a Christmas film and enjoy a mince pie or two!

Don't fancy doing it yourself..Check out your local charities who will be more than happy to help out for a kind donation.

Don't forget the food shop

It's always sensible to get this in a week before Christmas, just consider that you will want to buy your perishable food around 3 to 4 days in advance. Why not support local and take a trip to your local butchers and bakers. Don't forget to take your food list!

Christmas Eve

Peel the veg, prep the stuffing and wrap the pigs in blankets..nobody wants the extra stress on the big day.

Set the table the night before, put out the crackers and if you haven't done already open up the tub of quality streets.

Why not take a trip to your local carol service, pantomime or pub. The countdown is officially on!!!

Dont forget to leave out your treat for Santa Claus before you go to bed!

Have a fantastic Christmas Day!!
