Two in a row for the girls of rainbow 1

  • Latest trent barton Driver of the Month winners announced
  • Three female drivers excel in latest competitions

Mandy Hunt, a former multiple winner of trent barton's Driver of the Month competition has again scooped the Driver of the Month prize for March 2011, hot on the heels of her colleague Dawn Jowett taking the top prize - for an unprecedented sixth time - in February. Both are popular figures amongst both customers and staff on rainbow 1, which runs between Nottingham, Eastwood, Ripley and Alfreton, and are based at our depot in Langley Mill.

Each winner receives a £100 cash prize and automatic entry in the Driver of the Year competition for 2011, with the opportunity to win £1000 in holiday vouchers and an additional day off work for life.

The commendation winner for March, just beaten into second place, was relative newcomer and red arrow driver Carole Lopez, who has only been with the company for a year, yet has already made a big impression.

Our Commercial Director Alex Hornby presented the awards on the day, "it's great to see both experienced hands and newcomers coming forward to represent the very best in our company, and what I believe to be some of the best from across our entire industry. The standard of our driving teams remain a key feature of why our customers chose to use our services, and with the talent that we have, such as Mandy, Dawn and Carole - its not difficult to understand why. Big congratulations to each of them on a job well done!"
