On the evening of 10th July into the morning of 11th July, between 8pm and 6am, the A453 will be closed between Finger Farm Island and East Midlands Gateway to enable carriageway surfacing to take place.
During this time, the following diversions will be in place.
skylink express - will divert from East Midlands Airport to the A453 via Castle Donington and the A50. Customers wishing to travel to Nottingham from East Midlands Gateway should board an airport bound skylink express or a Derby bound skylink Derby to change at EMA. Stops missed on skylink express are. East Midlands Gateway (Nottingham bound only) skylink express towards East Midlands Airport is unaffected and will serve the whole route as normal.
skylink Nottingham - all East Midlands Gateway bound journeys will terminate at Pegasus Business Park. Any customers wishing to travel onto East Midlands Gateway should board a Leicester bound skylink Derby service and change in Hathern where that change onto a Derby bound service to East Midlands Gateway free of charge.
skylink Derby - will need to divert on journeys towards Leicester only. All Leicester bound services will need to divert from Pegasus Business Park via the A453 and then proceed through Diseworth and Long Whatton, resuming the normal route in Hathern. We’ll be unable to serve East Midlands Gateway and Kegworth in its entirety on journeys towards Loughborough and Leicester. Customers from Derby wishing to travel to East Midlands Gateway or Kegworth will need to stay on board to Hathern and change to a Derby bound service. Customers from Kegworth or East Midlands Gateway will need to board a derby bound service and change at East Midlands Airport for buses towards Loughborough and Leicester.
