Nottingham bus stop closures - Parliament Street and South Sherwood Street

Improvement works in Nottingham City Centre will be taking place over the coming weeks, and this will affect some of our rainbow one and the two stops.

Thanks for bearing with us while the city makes these upgrades. 💛🛠️

Most of these works require a full bus stop closure for the day (usually 9am–5pm), so here’s everything you need to know:

📍 U1 – Upper Parliament Street
📅 14 January 2026
➡️ During this closure, rainbow one will use stop U4 instead.
🚌✨ Nice and easy—just a short walk away!

📍 U5 – Upper Parliament Street
📅 12–14 January 2026
➡️ rainbow one and the two will not serve this stop.
Please use one of these alternatives instead:
  • Tollhouse Hill (Y7) 📍
  • South Sherwood Street (G1) 📍
Both just around the corner and clearly signed.

📍 G1 – South Sherwood Street
📅 27 January 2026
➡️ rainbow one and the two will use South Sherwood Street (G2) instead.

🎯 Just a quick hop across the road.

We’ll make sure everything is clearly signposted at the stops, and our drivers will be happy to help if you’re unsure where to catch your bus.

Thanks for your patience while the city improves its streets—and for travelling with us!
