Alan Bennett's Diaries Live at QUAD, Derby -

An unmissable live event which will take place on Wednesday 16 November live at 8pm! This event will be a one-on-one Q&A which will take a rare insight into the life of the icon modern British culture. Alan Bennett is one of the best loved writes in Britain and at 82 shows no sign of slowing down. This event will include a screening of Alan Bennett’s Diaries, a new film about the writer, followed by an exclusive Q&A with Alan Bennett from his local community library in Primrose Hill. 15, £13 Concession & £12 QUAD Members.


4. Thursday 17 November

Derby Night Market -

Derby Night Market is something that is so fun! The Derby Cathedral quarter is transformed into a food, crafts, arts focused for one night, this market is well organised by local, Sheena Holland and has been running for three years involving 80 – 200 traders. There will be many different dishes from all across the world with options including gourmet meats, vegan and vegetarian handmade foods and cakes piled high. With live entertainment the event is always held from 5 – 10pm. Completely FREE to enter!


5. Sunday 20 November

Winter Wonderland, Nottingham - 

Starting from Saturday 19 November Nottingham Market Place will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland. This brilliant themed event with be having its own stunning ice rink, Christmas market traders, two themed winter bars, a bandstand, rides, timber decked walkways, nativity scene, 100's of real Christmas trees, snow dressing and much more. Also you will find over 50 attractive Victorian style cabins selling a wide range of quality crafts, gifts and food. With both unique and handmade gifts on offer, there is plenty of choice for all you shopaholics.


6. Tuesday 22 November

Chesterfield Christmas Market & Light Switch On-

Chesterfield Christmas lights is yet to be magical once again on their annual Christmas lights switch-on event on Sunday 20 November. The event will include entertainment, stalls, games and even rides in the Market Place & New Square. The Market Hall will also be open from 11am to 5pm on the day. Stars from Aladdin, (which is this year’s pantomime at the Pomegranate Theatre) will perform on stage and will switch on the Christmas Lights at 4.45pm along with The Mayor of Chesterfield and Peppa Pig.
