Summer fare

We’ve agreed to take part in the Government’s free bus travel scheme, which means all children aged 5 to 15 can travel free of charge on our services from 1–31 August, excluding red arrow.

This offer is not availble on our nightbuses. nightbuses are journeys that depart after 12am midnight that do not run Monday-Thursday.

Using mango? Simply tap on and off as usual and travel for free. If you're not a mango customer, our drivers will happily issue you with a free single ticket.

Please note that children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person when travelling.

In line with the scheme’s terms and conditions, verification of age is a requirement and can be made using mango, b-line, driving licence, birth certificate, passport, college id and other bus operator apps. We will accept photos of all these verification methods.

Great news for the really little ones, if you're under 5 you also travel for free across trentbartonland.

16 - 18 year old free travel

In addition to the Governments free summer travel scheme for 5–15 year olds, the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) has approved an extension for 16-18 year olds.

The offer applies to journeys on routes that enter the EMCCA area, covering Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Nottingham. Please note that red arrow is excluded from the scheme.
