Free bus travel for Ukrainian refugees

Ukrainian refugees arriving at East Midlands Airport will be warmly welcomed on board our skylink and my15 buses for free onward travel to their next destinations.

All the refugees – individuals or families – need to do is show our driver a Ukrainian passport or identity document to be helped on the next leg of their journey to safety.

Buses will take them to Ilkeston, Long Eaton & Nottingham, or any other stops on the routes. Our sister bus firm Kinchbus will also take them to Derby & Leicester.

Jeff Counsell, managing director, said: “Refugees from Ukraine will already have been on a long and complex journey with all the stress and worry involved in leaving their country at a time of war.

We’ll be at East Midlands Airport to make the next leg of those journeys that little bit easier and welcoming. It’s a small gesture but one that is very heartfelt.

For any of the refugees’ relatives, friends or sponsors in the East Midlands, details of the services can be found at: trentbarton.co.uk/getting-to/airport
