Student VIPs choose indigo with new £1 fare

Prince Harry mania hit Nottingham a day earlier than the official royal visit, thanks to trentbarton, as we launched our new £1 student fare deal in Nottingham on indigo 24/7.

In advance of the Royal visit on Thursday 25 April, students at The University of Nottingham – all armed with Prince Harry face masks – joined in the fun to celebrate the new £1 cash fare being introduced on what is our busiest route.

Commercial Director, Alex Hornby said: "It's always a great occasion when a member of the Royal family pays a visit and Prince Harry is certainly creating a massive buzz.

"We thought we'd join in the spirit of things because his visit coincides with the launch of a new indigo £1 fare for students which will suit them down to the ground at The University of Nottingham – and, sure enough our promotion created quite a stir – just how we like it. "

indigo 24/7 – which runs every 6-7 minutes between Long Eaton, Beeston and Nottingham city centre – stops right on the University's doorstep and Barry Allitt, our indigo manager added: "It's ready made for VIPs - even Royalty - because our customers get some special extras as they travel.

“With an impressive designer interior, leather seats, air conditioning and a friendly welcome from our team we keep them relaxed and comfortable. It’s just a shame the Prince himself didn’t decide to come and have a ride with us – we’re sure he would have been impressed.”

The new £1 student cash fare is available to students just by showing their student ID card and can be used for any trip between Beeston, the University, QMC and Nottingham city centre.
