Carole Hind

Carole Hind

Carole is our wonder woman! Shortly after winning our driver of the year award in 2015, she was crowned the UK's best bus driver at the UK Bus Awards in November 2015. That also meant she became the first ever female winner of that, which makes us extra proud of her acheivements.

You can find Carole whizzing down the A52 on the red arrow, which she has driven since 2010, or taking folks up to Chesterfield market on the comet.

Before joing trentbarton, Carole was a security van driver, so you know that you are in safe hands on Carole's buses.

Tom Morgan

Tom Morgan

Director of Service Delivery, Tom, took up the post in March 2015 after being General Manager at our sister company, Kinchbus since 2012. Whilst there, he helped the Loughborough operator go from strength to strength as well as being named as 'Young Bus Manager of The Year'.

Tom has a keen eye for detail and puts a strong emphasis on customer service. Tom likes to include the entire delivery team in his work to ensure we maintain our reputation as the really good bus company.

When he's not adding to his extensive Ralph Lauren shirt collection or chasing eggs, you can find Tom at the cricket. He may even be dressed as Kaptain Kinch.

Sharon Bailey

Sharon Bailey

Sharon Bailey’s husband Mark set the family trend by becoming a bus driver and the next thing he knew, Sharon had passed her test too. Before long she had been promoted to be his boss (every woman’s dream or what?) at our Ilkeston depot, any remains of which now lie somewhere beneath the Tesco superstore.

Now Sharon is the operations manager at our Derby base where she is known (amongst many things) for her immaculate filing system and, of course, for her love of giraffes. Well, don’t we all…

Leighton Grimes

Leighton Grimes

As a child, Leighton always wanted to be either a teacher or a bus driver. And now he has acheived both!

After accomplishing his first goal of being a teacher for 15 years (we know he doesn't look old enough does he?) Leighton joined us as a driver back in 2013 and quickly became charity champion at Derby.

Leighton is trentbarton's answer to Mr Kipling, the cake man, not the poet. He has built up quite the reputation for really good cakes (no soggy bottoms here). Leighton recently took up the roll of team leader for brands including the comet, spondon flyer and our pride and joy, red arrow. With Leighton's keen eye for detail, it is hardly surprising that the brand went straight to the top of the class, winning brand of the year 2016 at our annual really good service awards.

comet wall of fame

We get many nice comments when our drivers have done a good job, and we like to show them off when they do!
