It’s in Nottingham, the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), is bringing back one of the UK’s most unique Halloween celebrations as giant monsters return to Nottingham city centre this October.
For the fourth year running, these larger-than-life creatures will transform Nottingham into a Halloween playground, drawing thousands of visitors to experience the city’s spookiest — and most playful — seasonal spectacle. From Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November 2025, Nottingham will once again establish itself as a must-visit Halloween destination.

The much-loved installations by internationally renowned inflatable artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas of Designs in Air will once again appear across the city’s rooftops, streets, and landmarks. Expect to see tentacles twisting off buildings, wide-eyed beasts staring down from above, and googly monsters hiding in unexpected corners.
This year introduces three brand-new creatures, including Seemore - a four-eyed new arrival who got its name thanks to a public competition It’s in Nottingham ran on Instagram.
The glowing beasts aren’t just for admiring - they form part of the Nottingham Halloween Monster Trail, designed to encourage exploration of the city centre. Families and groups can collect a free trail map from the Nottingham Tourism Centre on Smithy Row, then hunt down every creature as they tour Nottingham’s streets and attractions.
Beyond the monsters, Nottingham’s city centre will host a week of spectacular events, culminating on Thursday 31 October with a city-wide celebration, including:
● Monsters Mash! at Nottingham Castle – A spooktacular event set within the city’s iconic landmark.
● Walking Bones Parade – A colourful parade featuring giant puppets, stilt walkers, and live musicians weaving through the castle grounds.
● Monster Bus Spooky Safari – A Halloween ride through the city centre that promises fun for all ages.
Alex Flint, CEO of It’s in Nottingham, said: “Halloween in Nottingham has become a truly special experience, and we are proud to be bringing the monsters back for their fourth year. These spectacular installations, along with the wider programme of events, showcase Nottingham as a vibrant, creative and welcoming city. We can’t wait to see families, friends, and visitors enjoying everything our city centre has to offer this Halloween.”
The Nottingham Halloween Festival, organised by It’s in Nottingham, continues to grow in popularity, cementing the city’s reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting Halloween destinations.
